Rutini Trumpeter Chardonnay Experience a true symphony of aromas and flavor nuances in every sip of Trumpeter Chardonnay from Vinhuset Rutini. This exceptional wine is composed of 100% Chardonnay grapes, gently cultivated in Rutini's fields in the magical Tupungato. Here is the secret behind this wine's unrivaled quality, where every detail is carefully considered. By maintaining careful control over irrigation and avoiding the use of fertilizers, the grapes achieve their purest form, reflecting the incredible terroir of the area. Tupungato's sunny and dry days ensure optimal ripening of the grapes; while the cool nights and the controlled watering create a perfect balance between sugar and acid in each and every berry. It is at this critical time that the skilled hands of seasoned farmers handpick the grapes when they have reached perfection and immediately bring them to the winery. In the vinification process, the true potential of the Chardonnay grapes is revealed. After the careful fermentation, the wine is allowed to rest for seven months, maturing in a combination of 50% new French oak barrels and 50% used French oak barrels. This artful balance between wood and wine creates a sublime harmony that elevates the wine's characteristics to new heights. Scent: Rich aroma of tropical fruits transitions into a taste of green apples with floral nuances, followed by hints of vanilla and minerals. Aftertaste: Fresh, acidic and persistent. Served for: Light dishes such as light meat and fish. Serving temperature: 8-10ºC. About the Vinhuset: The Rutini family's winemaking tradition began in the early 19th century in Le Marche, Italy, when Francisco Rutini made wine for the residents of his hometown, Ascoli Piceno. His only son Felipe Rutini immigrated to Argentina where he planted his first vines in Coquimbito, Maipú in Mendoza province. Since its founding in 1885, Rutini Wines has been recognized for the exceptional quality and character of its wines. Today, Rutini Wines has vineyards located in different areas of the Mendoza region. The different locations of the vineyards make it possible for Rutini Wines to grow the individual grape types in the area that gives each grape type the most optimal growing conditions. The original buildings from 1885, located in Maipú, were completely renovated in the 1990s and completely new technology was installed. However, the original architecture has been preserved. In October 2008, Rutini Wines expanded and built a new winery in Uco Valley, Mendoza. As early as March 2009, the winery was ready to receive the first harvest. At Rutini Wines, the focus is on obtaining the best grapes by keeping yields low, pruning the vines and harvesting the grapes by hand. Every detail is kept in mind so that the people at Rutini Wines are able to harvest the grapes at just the right time.
