Aged for a minimum of 25 years, with 23 of those years spent in ex-bourbon barrels followed by 2 years of finishing in first-fill ex-Oloroso sherry casks, Glenlivet XXV is produced in limited batches and offers a nose cascading with richness; a beautiful calligraphy manuscript inked in thick plumes of sweet sultanas and dark morello cherries soaked in banked sugared fruits, roasted apples, and decadent cream doused in cacao and drying wild herbs. The mouth is coated in a thick blanket of elegant sherry, fruit rinds, and warm toffee-candied walnuts.
